William loves a bake but as I am sure you've noticed that his chosen make is cheesecake. After a lot of convincing I finally managed to get him to make something else!!
So here's his chocolate brownie:
Ingredients
400g caster sugar
225g butter (melted)
60g cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 eggs
225g plain flour (Although William wanted to use Self raising)
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
White chocolate chips.
This is probably one of the easiest recipes to follow.
Preheat the oven at 180C
Start by putting all the 'soft or powdered' ingredients in a bowl.
Sieve the flour into the bowl.
Add the 4 eggs, melted butter and vanilla.
Mix all of the ingredients together until smooth.
Add the chocolate chips and mix in.
Grease your baking tin.
Place in the oven for 20 -25 minutes.
If you want gooey chocolate middle aim for 18 minutes.
William wanted to use Self raising flour as he knew they would come out bigger. (Clever kid)
Whilst waiting take a whisk each and lick. If you're young then get messy!
Once done, take out and leave to cool. Then cut them into squares.
He's a proper little chef that one!! Love that he's starting to understand ingredients. Thanks so much for linking up to #SundaySweets hope to see you & William back next week x
ReplyDeleteThanks Toni! He's definitely getting some ideas. You should see us next week. We're trying something now. So fingers crossed.
DeleteNothing beats baking with your kids, licking the beaters after your done makes the best pictures!
ReplyDeleteI agree Gary. It really is the best! We love it but importantly the boys really enjoy doing it.
DeleteOoh they look yummy! Might make some with M. She'll be eating them though as even though I'm on SW I don't want her to have issues with food so don't force my choices on her.
ReplyDeleteYou should do them with her! As for SW, Will and I have a few recipes that we've don't in that which will be on the blog soon.
DeleteOh maybe even I could make these! I love the idea of the White chocolate pieces in too. Yum!!! Licking the bowl is definitely my favourite part of baking
