Little Tikes #DadsPlayMission

We have been incredibly lucky to be asked by the team over at Little Tikes to go on a play mission as a Dadbassador.

Our mission was to go on 2 play adventures with the boys whilst we also had the chance to try out and play with their new range of Wheelz toys.

We started off by receiving a large box to explore the new range toy:

The flyer is a fantastic toy for children aged 3 - 5years +. I will add that the + is a very important fact here because both William and I have spent several hours playing with it! For remote control flying toys this helicopter is brilliant. The simple on touch control allows an easy to use interaction for young and old children.

The Flyer has a dual propeller rings that create a hover movement accompanied with a rotation movement to allow the helicopter to turn. This added with cool sounds and design including a flashing light for darker moments is perfect.

The front load bulldozer is a strong and rugged off road toy built for the toughest environment from your garden, sand, gravel and even, in our case, cereal and toys! The large shovel can carry mounds of materials with the on top handle that manoeuvres the shovel to push from one point to another.

Although my boys love each other and have a great relationship they are also extremely competitive as most siblings can be! The Tyre racer is perfect for any competitive children who enjoy a friendly and interactive toy.

Little Tikes do have a remote version to this toy design however these racers are manual use. Holding the car placed inside the wheel and adding a repetitive forward friction movement to create the kinetic energy to let the racer run!

Used inside or out these racers have hours or fun for everyone although I will warn you that it can cause family arguments if you are the adult that often loses out to their children! ;)

The fantastic thing about the new range toys is that although they have restrictive age ranges each toy produces hours of fun for children and adults alike. They literally are spot on for colour, sound and engage-ability and definitely some must have toys for young adventurers.

Play Mission 1

We were asked by the team to go to Diggerland for our first mission. We literally live 5 minutes away from the one in Kent but up until now we haven't had the opportunity to go so we were thrilled to accept this mission.

There was so much available for children all ages even though some activities were age specific so like most adventure parks there were a limited amount of attractions that a 5 and 7 year old could go on but that didn't mean that we didn't have fun!

The Spin dizzy ride was the first that we saw and the boys were keen to go on this ride immediately.

The boys loved going on this ride. The arm lifted high and swung the converted shovel through the air creating a circular motion! The screaming and cheering from the boys was fantastic!

There were converted diggers into regular and known games. One, above, had a circular hoop on the end that created a "hook a duck" style game.

The other was differently controlled bowling game that allowed the controls to knock the pins over with a weighted ball!

These simple conversion games were one of my highlights of the day. The boys showed sheer determination and engagement to see who could complete the activity the quickest and had a smile on their face the entire time!

Apart from the interactive modern twists of games that included the different diggers there was also the opportunity to use a dig to do exactly what it was designed to do.

This was great to watch where you could see the concentration on the boys face whilst learning through play at how the digger worked.

James was also young enough to try some of the racing cars that were available. But, don't worry too much they were still pretty slow so my little adventurer didn't race off!

Overall Diggerland was an amazing day out. As an adult I loved that there were many different activities that we could do as a family and within that be amazed how they have converted the different diggers into fun and learning! From the boys point of view they loved the sheer fun, destruction and ability to use heavy machinery; which is exactly what they have been longing to do without too many consequences!

What I loved when we arrived home is how both boys played with the front loader bulldozer making the same noises and actions that they experienced there!

 Play Mission 2

We had the option from the team to choose the next adventure!

We tried to keep in theme as the previous mission and went to another adventure park! This time the boys chose Chessington World of Adventures.

Like Diggerland rides were obviously restricted due to height, age or adult use (being disabled meant that I was restricted on using some of the rides with the boys in case it breached emergency protocol)

Despite this the boys still had a fantastic time!

Chessington had a new attraction! The Panda show.

This is where the boys got to watch 2 cheeky pandas tease and trick the game keeper!

And, as you can see, they were getting up to no good!

But we did get to see some baby pandas!

Which, by the end of the show, the boys got to go and interact and stroke!

The next stop, as seen above, was the haunted house! This was built with 3D images of which we had to wear on our way round seeing the eyes, monsters and people jump out!

The boys then went on the scorpion express which was a fire breathing, water squirting rollercoaster! The sheer enjoyment of screaming and cheers, excitement and racing showed how much fun was had!

William and James then went on a Safari to see a variety of animals and were extremely lucky to come up close to a giraffe and some rhinos! James, being a lover of animals, really enjoyed the ride.

Of course we couldn't have gone without a go on the bumper cars!

We also saved the best for last! The moment we arrived at the boys had one goal; they wanted to go on the Vampire ride. We knew that this would be the highlight for them so saved it until last!

The whizzing round and dangling feet made this a thrill seeking activity for them both to scream at!

We had 2 days out filled with fun and adventure! Each day brought new excitement and challenges that were suitable for all little adventures out there! Little Tikes definitely gave us the opportunity to experience the adventures outside and then with their new range of toys inside!
