James' 4th Birthday

If you saw my post earlier in the week then you will know that we celebrated James' 4th Birthday.

My not so little man turning 4 was a big thing for me and is something that I am still struggling to get my head around. Even earlier today I was asked about the boys and their ages etc and I still referred to him as 3; I am sure this will happen for a while.

I thought though that I would take this time to show you what we got up to for his birthday.

We started off the day with a little treat and something of James' choice: Dippy Eggs and Soldiers.

Then time for opening presents:

The typical mad child unwrapping presents and taking a few moments to look at what he got, plonk it down and then move on to the next. How all present opening should be, right?

We then had a chance to open and read a magical letter that came just for him.

(More to come on this)

James then went to nursery as he wanted some fuss from the nursery workers and obviously wanted to show the fact that he was one of the oldest there.

We then went and met some friends in the local park to have a play and a picnic. However, the weather decided on ruining that so we rushed back to the car and had ice cream instead!

Making some time up with our friends we went to a café and had Milkshakes and Chips and then made our way home.

Love how they all held hands and walked together.

Back home for our family birthday party.

More presents, more food, cake (Two cakes actually) and family members all together.

Well it's clear to say that James had a fantastic day and completely against our normal days where he was spoilt with both presents and food. Although I am not an advocate of most of the things he had food wise it was his birthday so did make a nice change.
