Living Arrows #20

Sometimes I take hundreds of photos of the boys and other times I barely take any. I decided that this year would be one where I try to capture a consistent about and document them more. It made sense then that I join in with Donna's linky, Living Arrows.

"Living Arrows is about celebrating childhood. The project originally took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

This week has flown by for us!

William has continued his all vegetarian dishes and made a leek and potato soup. His love and skill for cooking always amazes me but more so that he is a far better chef than I am! When he gets going he is in the "zone" and shows levels of precision and maturity that offer makes me forget that he's only actually 8!

However, there was a moment of pure childlike joy in the week when we went to the post office to send off a present. He suddenly became all excited and intrigued when passing the parcel over that it captured his childlike innocence.

It has been a big week for James as I'm sure my regular readers would know! My Little boy has turned 6!

He had a lovely birthday with his mum and a fab party with us!

The thing about James is that he has some clear undiagnosed educational needs that obviously adds to his character. Although we have our suspicions on what it could be we don't want to speculate too much either; at least until the start of his assessment next week.

What was clear though was within his antisocial moments of his party he was also having a moment, like William, of pure innocence and joy. He might have been ignoring everyone bit he was having a great time squirting a balloon with water!

How has your week been?

  1. I'm usually happy when I'm being antisocial too. Especially when I'm around you...
