Living Arrows #28

Sometimes I take hundreds of photos of the boys and other times I barely take any. I decided that this year would be one where I try to capture a consistent amount and document them more. It made sense then that I join in with Donna's linky, Living Arrows.

"Living Arrows is about celebrating childhood. The project originally took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

Over the last few months it's felt very much that the tight relationship between the boys have been in fact growing apart.

It may be their age but, as seen above, they are wanting less and less time with each other even if it's in proximity. I'm sure this is normal and comes with their age but it is quite sad at the same time.

William is continuing to show his maturity which is coming across in his school work. He is taking more time with his writing and actually taking an interest to ask more questions on a topic rather than just accepting what he's being told. As a teacher I am loving this aspect.

James this week has taken himself away from work and actually embracing exploring and freedom. I'm sure we all need this from time to time and this is his way of expressing it. It does worry me slightly though as with the school holidays around the corner that he may create a disconnect with learning. I suppose only time will tell.

How has your week been?

  1. Aww I'm sure the boys will find each other again. It's probably just a natural step in their development - both becoming a bit independent.
