Williams first trip to the cinema!

This is a big day for my eldest boy William (almost 4) it's his first trip to the cinema. I was unsure about going and taking him, but it was pointed out by a friend that if he can sit for a whole film at home then potentially he could at the cinema. So, off we went to see Madagascar: most wanted. The sheer excitement on Williams face when I told him. We made a bag up for goodies to consume during the film (shh don't tell) And just as we were about to go out the door, William panicked....was that it the trip over? No, he said clearly, I haven't done my hair, we must look smart for the cinema daddy. Silly daddy forgot. Hair sprayed and brushed and we were on our way.

We got there around half 10, with the showing starting at 11. William stood proudly out side the front, eagerly awaiting for the queue to move forward so we could purchase our tickets. He was so well behaved, even if he was excited, holding my hand quietly waiting. As we approached the vendor William said we were seeing Madagascar...very loudly. Tickets bought, we walked along counting the auditorium numbers to find number 7. SO, the films about to start, the children around us are already being children, William, although lovely is a sheep, could he behave? Well I'm pleased to say he was perfect. He sat for 3/4 of the film in the chair, absorbed in the film, and the rest on my lap, laughing at jokes and giving me a running commentary just incase I didn't get the joke! With the film ending, William, with a smile on his face, left the cinema singing. A successful trip. One happy boy, and one happy daddy!

Photos are of William,  standing excitedly outside the cinema, and holding his ticket awaiting the film starting.
