Ten Things I have Liked and Loved in April

It’s that time again to look back on April and list the ten things that I have loved or liked in this month.

Stevie does say that it can be any ten things so I might do a separate post for something else but in the meantime it will be good to look back positively:

Wildlife Park
For those who have followed the blog posts you will know that the Boys and I went to a semi local wildlife park. It was great, the weather was brilliant, the boys had no idea where we were going so didn’t drag their heels to be persuaded and it was a great little family trip; one that I really needed.

Castles
Following our home school topic of castles, and a previously failed attempt at going to one before, I decided to take the boys down to Walmer and Deal castles. They’re only separated by about half an hour so we ended up visiting two castles in one day. Was another lovely day out!

Housing
Now I know I mentioned last time that I was accepted on to the housing list and I would hopefully be moving soon. Well these last two weeks I have been shortlisted for two lovely places and all I need to do is view them and choose one; there is one particularly hopeful for so fingers crossed.

The Sun
I am not going to lie and I am sure that you will all agree but hasn’t the fact that the Sun has been out just made everything just a bit better?

A Letter
This is a weird one and you are all going to hate me for this but I received a letter but I also can’t discuss what the letter was about. That being said it is something that I have wanted to receive for a while so the fact that I have it is a real bonus!

Collins
I am currently working quite closely with the publishing company Collins reviewing a lot of their educational resources. This is a great opportunity and fits perfectly with myself, my boys, home schooling and the blog; couldn’t have dreamed for a better fit.

My Friend Paul
Not many of you will know but I almost destroyed my lovely Blog! I have wanted to add a menu bar to the blog for a while so I sat down and read a few ‘how to’ guides and entered the HTML set up of my blog template. After about 5 hours I got it perfectly right, I was happy, I achieved something by myself and did so by using code! However, when going to click save, and it being almost midnight, I clicked the wrong button and not only lost my code but also reset the blog back to original settings! I had to rebuild it back up and start again. I know no one can notice but it wasn’t felt the same! My friend Paul luckily though is a computer geek and programmer; he told me about this website called ‘Time Machine’ where you can see your site and its original coding from last month or earlier! (I know, clever stuff) so on using it I managed to get things back just right. So definitely made me happy having a friend like him!

The Blogging Community
A little shout out this month to all you lovely people. For some reason this last month has brought me closer to everyone; just even the occasional but regular chats with you all has been great!

(I did start making a list of all the people I got to 16 and realised that I could go on forever; you’re all fabulous)

Drawing
Now I mentioned this last month so you should all know that I love my drawing! I have finished one picture that took over 12 hours and am currently half way through another; I definitely have my drawing mojo back!

The Avengers
I am a massive Geek! I don’t often talk about it because I always try to pretend that I am cool.

(I know, no one is ever going to believe it!)
But this month saw the return of The Avengers to our screen in Avengers: Age of Ultron.  It was fantastic; there were brilliant all action sequences that they didn’t perfectly. They even did a few slow motion shots so you could really take in every inch of what each character was doing. They had a few in comic book jokes that only the truest geek would be laughing over. If you couldn’t have guessed already I really loved it; although for anyone who isn’t a big comic book fan be warned it is long just like the last one.

Thanks for linking up again lovely! I'm so jealous I really want to see the Avengers but I haven't had a chance yet, and we have a mega busy weekend coming up boo!
Fantastic news about Collins, like you said a very good fit, and any bloggy work that also benefits your children is always brilliant!

My boy is getting into his super heroes, it's very much a start for me and I don't see myself ever watching the films i like the whole thing but I'm not a film girl and the longer the more unlikely I am to see it!
Lovely reasons this month, I enjoyed reading your outings to the castles I'm keen to tick some off. Good luck with the house!

Hi Martyn,
I've been out of the blogging game for a bit, but I'm back. It seems you have had a pretty good month, that's awesome. I definitely love comic book movies like the avengers too, although I never was into comic books, but always loved the super hero movies. I haven't seen that one yet, but I am going to.
I'm glad to be back and look forward to reading more.

I'm intrigued by your letter, always love a good secret :)

Sounds like April has been a good month with the latter, Collins and the Housing stuff, great to hear.

A great (and intriguing...that letter, hehe) list :)

The days out look great fun - isn't nice getting out and about in Spring without having to wrap up in half a dozen layers?

Really want to see Age of Ultron, not sure when I'll be able to fit it in but soon. I love, love, love how the Marvel Universe has taken off the last few years with decent and not cringeworthy movies!

Another great post.

I know how hard housing lists are. Delighted you will soon have a permanent long term home for you and the boys.

Ah you can't say you liked receiving a letter and not tell us what was in it.

These were the first few nice days so it was great to get out and actually do something. Made it more special after being stuck in doors for months.
