May Bank Holiday #2 - Weekend of Fun

I love that we have had two Bank Holidays this month.

Each holiday I have had the boys an extra day and we have filled it with lots; I thought that this would be good to share what we got up to.

Saturday

We picked the boys up on Saturday and took them to have a look around me new flat; the boys absolutely loved exploring it and it's just made me want to get it sorted so we can move in as soon as possible.

Sunday

We started the day off by going to church which was lovely. When we got home it was full go with dinner preparations. Whilst I prepared our roast William made a Rolo cheesecake.

(Recipe and 'My Little Chef'' post coming on Sunday)

I know it is getting warmer and Summer is sneaking up upon us but who would turn down a lovely roast? (And then Cheesecake after)

My favourite part here was watching the boys eat. I love serving them meat on the bone as it brings the wild animal out in them.

Monday

We're quite lucky that we are fairly close to the coast so are only a sort drive away from a beach. This is great for us to have family days out and usually with extended family.

My brother, once the Sun comes out, usually takes his Camper Van down to Leysdown, parks up and spends a few days next to the beach. So we thought lets go and join him.

We also spent the day with Daddy's new (ish) "Friend" but if it's O.K I think I'll keep her hidden for a bit longer ;)

I love this photo of the boys having a picnic mainly because they're being stereotypical boys and eating on the grass and not the picnic blanket!

We went on the beach and collected some pebbles to do several craft ideas with (This will be on the blog soon)

Then, as I am sure is expected, we went and had some fun in the arcades and mainly on 2p machines!

(It isn't really a trip to the beach without finding an arcade and spending 2p's!)

Time to win some tickets!

And finally, before we headed home, we enjoyed Chip butties and Ice Cream.

I know we have lot's of days out or we spend whole days focusing on Schooling and crafts but that is always 'fun' under an educational umbrella. In comparison this last weekend had nothing specifically exciting about it but actually it was just a lovely Family weekend filled with food, laughter and fun; what more could I and the boys ask for.

Sounds like a great weekend, I've visited Sheppy lots but never actually been in any of the arcades there (we save them for Margate usually), Normally go to the nature reserve at Elmley.

Aw haven't been there! I should do! Margate is one of our favourites too but Leysdown always seems to be our quick jump in the car venue.

Thanks Janine. It really is. It's not exactly to the normal exciting things we do but we equally loved every second of it building memories. And yes she did.

Thanks Nigel. We all had a great time. Sadly the friend will stay a question mark for a while lol but we all had fun. :)
