Review - Love2Read - Personalised Book

With James turning 4 this week it was difficult for me to choose something unique to mark this birthday. I don’t know why I wanted to mark his birthday, it may be because he is no longer a toddler or it could be that one of my earliest memories was my own 4th birthday party either way I feel that I need to make it more special; whatever the reason I was keenly looking for a present that he could keep forever as a special present.

How hard would this be?!
Everywhere I looked I found lots of different personalised gifts that I could adapt to suit him but realistically it was simply a present that anyone named James would get.

So I was extremely pleased to be contacted by Love2Read and asked to review one of their books.
Each of their books is designed by you and is completely unique and will always be an ideal personalised present.

You will find that each book is also aimed to help your child develop a love of reading by having parallel pictures to accompany each small sentence.

At the back of the book you will also find a selection of key words or at least high frequency words that the child is more than likely taught to recognise due to their appropriate age.

All I had to do was create the book that I wanted by visiting their website, choosing the theme and follow the demo on how to make it; I was incredibly surprised to see so many different themes of books available.
One that especially caught my eye was a ‘Daddy’ and ‘Dad’ book which looking at the design is based around the book being made by the child for their Dad and subsequently is something that they can share together; all I have to do is teach my children how to use the computer and to make one up for Fathers Day next month ;-)

Either way it is definitely worth checking them out and seeing if you can make a personalised gift for a child or even one from a child to an adult.
For me I was pleased to see how much James enjoyed opening it and seeing that it was all about him. Although I have seen similar styles of personalised books none offered the key feature of including your own photos and your own story; making this unique solely for James.

Ultimately a personal book that that brings children and parents together to read is always good for me.

Thanks Kim. It was a very good present. I live how I know that no one else will have it and it's unique to James. :)

I just love the Love2Read books. We reviewed one just before Christmas and it was the first time that Libby learnt to read her name and Lia's. Fabulous books and a great review. Perfect present for him to keep and treasure.
