This is a special week blog wise for me as I celebrate two different anniversaries.
The first Anniversary actually happened earlier in the week where I celebrated a whole year as a Parent Blogger.
Originally I started using this space as a place where I could record everything that I do with the boys. On the whole communication and the relationship with the boys Mum is quite good, however, there have been moments where we still fight like cat and dog; in those specific instances my parenting has been targeted. Now, I am not going to sit and say a negative word about the boys mum , as stated above, we generally get on well but I think it is safe to say that, like many single parents, it has it's moments where arguments happen.
This had happened a lot in the past so I felt that it made sense to document all that I am doing with the boys from normal parenting, general activities and Home school. In truth, this was to provide a foundation of evidence that actually I am a pretty normal parent. Yet, there was the added bonus that I wanted the boys to have something to read and look back on when they are older.
So this time last year I published my very first Home School post.
It is amazing looking back at it. I would write most of it up from my phone in the free moments that I managed to squeeze in; the quality of the post and it's writing is far from ideal but it was the start.
Then from there different events just gave me reasons to write and I suppose the rest of it is now history and I am a Parent/Home Schooling Blogger.
The second anniversary is of being a blogger.
Five years ago today I published my first ever blog post under a different blog name.
This venue was a place for me to rant and ramble about anything that crossed my thoughts. (Hence the later blog name)
I never once thought that anyone would read it, why would they?
Prior to my nervous break down in 2012 I would write one or two posts a week and the main thing was based around religion. (I know, what a controversial topic to write about!)
The breakdown date is important as prior to that I was incredibly arrogant and proud. The blog, therefore, was just a place for me to extend my soapbox views, write what I wanted and put my Christian faith across; if I upset people then it was tough, my blog, my space and my views. (And I wondered why I didn't get many readers!)
I would only share it on my Facebook personal page and generally only friends and family would read it. The writing, although good in places, were quite lengthy and ultimately you clicked to read the latest sermon from a soapbox, arrogant, crazy person. After the break down my writing and consistency in posting dwindled, the change in myself definitely changed in what I was writing about.
I did meet a wonderful blogger Kylie from Not even a bag of Sugar through blog hopping and used to comment on each others posts from time to time. Loved and still love her blog. She appealed early on to me as we both started blogging that same year and both has children around the same time. Amazing now to see how well she has done in blogging; even more proud to have been reading along all that time.
I have this week taken a look back over the posts I used to write and to be completely honest they don't resemble anything like me; really was like reading somebody else's posts.
So although I am celebrating two sets of anniversaries I will also be reflecting on the time as a blogger. So much has happened, so much has changed and I am a shell of the person I was before. Would be great to see what I will be like in another 5 years and also to know what I will be writing about then (Hopefully the writing would have improved by then ;) )
Special thank you to all my readers old and new that come and follow whichever journey that I am currently on! I really appreciate all of you and all of your support.

Whilst I might not always comment* I do always read your posts and I'd say you're a pretty fab parent! I love reading about the home school activities with your boys! Oh and I also found some postcards I had bought to send you for your UK map - I'd left them in the old changing bag! Do you still want them?
Anyhow, happy blogiversaries!
*I seem to have problem commenting on blogs when browsing on my phone. :(
Wohoo! Congrats to you! Thank you! I really appreciate it. I just write. I know I've got to go a long way to improve but am having fun in the meantime.
Aw thank you! And no worries about the commenting. I read loads of posts and don't comment. Occasionally say the odd bit on twitter etc but that's just easier, like you, my commenting doesn't always work. Glad you enjoy and follow our journey too.
Haha! You can still send them. We're still receiving even though we finished the topic. Who doesn't enjoy a postcard?
Congratulations of your anniversaries. That's pretty cool that you can look back over two years of blogging and see how you've grown. Here's to many more years to come!
