The Dog behind the Man

Hey,

You guys wont know me, why would you? My name is Samson and I am here to out Martyn as a bit of a fraud. He goes on and on about him being a Stay at Home Dad to two boys but there is a third boy living in this house; me.

Okay, I might not be a human boy but I am still a boy, and he is still my Dad, and to be honest I am quite outraged by the fact that after a whole year of him doing this silly writing that I haven't been mentioned before!

So I thought that whilst he is engaged in watching Doctor Who (Strange man, but I like his Dog) I would just introduce myself and tell you a little about me; especially considering Martyn hasn't!

I am quite young in your years I am almost three but I still like to think of myself like this:

Cute and fluffy and up for an adventure, not tormented and trapped within a box!

I am a bit bigger now but still quite loveable:

I think I will start with some of my hobbies.

Gardening:

As you can see in the above photos I do like the get right in and help pulling up weeds. My eldest brother William and I have this great game where he grabs a big bundle and waves it at me and I grab it and rip it apart round me. You will see that I am looking quite confused in the second picture because Dad told me off for making a mess! The sheer nerve of him, I help him out and I get told off!

Apart from the hard part of Gardening I do enjoy just stopping and smelling the flowers. This one is ginormous but I like that it's different!

Walking:

Oh how I love our adventures!

I get to walk in puddles and run across mud although, once again, Dad isn't too happy when I get muddy! But my brothers find it hilarious!

We get to stop quite a bit but I don't mind. I get a nice bowl of water and once I am done I love having a good smell around.

My Brothers:

I love these two they're so much fun! I will admit though that William is my favourite. He is hairier for a start so I feel that we look more alike. He also enjoys playing with me more:

James, Well James is good at getting in to trouble with. If there was going to be a brilliant partner in crime it would be him! The only problem is that he's very hands on with me and has been like this since I was little.

(I didn't agree to get moved up on the sofa but he had other plans and he still thinks its acceptable!)

The downside here though is that they really make me tired!

My final activity is Climbing:

That's me up on the kitchen table, arm of the chair and on the wall in the garden. I absolutely love getting high up but Dad really doesn't like it; he was especially cross when he found me on the table but all I wanted to do was some Math with the Boys.

So that's a bit about me. I am the third boy in this bundle and to be honest the one person who holds those three together.

So next time that Martyn is on about himself and the two boys please kindly remind him that he has another boy that deserves some attention.

By for now!

Samson

Ah,, this is too cute! We have two cats and my two adore them. Maybe a dog in the future when I know I will be able to give it the time and attention it deserves x

Awww, poor neglected Samson. I know exactly how you feel. I am an absolutely brilliant cat but the only mention I get in the human's blog is a side note when The Toddler missed the potty and I got a bit wet. Maybe we should start an underappreciated house pets club? That'd show 'em. Sunrise (Sunny).

Ah I love pets and kids when they get along! Hope to see a dog in the future!

That's outrageous! I hope you complain! I had to sneak this away from dad to say my peace! Hope he doesn't find out! I understand the toddler problem. Luckily my two brothers out grew this! Yours will in time!
I like the sound of the club! I'd think it'd be quite popular!

You are beautiful and your dad deserves a slap on the wrist for keeping you under wraps! I bet you keep him on his toes though....

Hi Samson, I think that maybe, just maybe, Martyn doesn't mention you because he is a little jealous of you, after all you are just sooooo adorable! We have a little dog that likes to sunbathe on the outside table, she says she's protecting the house and can only do that from a high place! And I'm sure I read somewhere that mud is good for the fur (or is that the face?). Oh well, could be both.

Nice to meet you Samson!

xx

Lovely to meet you Samson! :) Your dad should be pleased that you're an easy size to put in the bath when you get muddy with the other boys...my Stella is way too big now and I have to chase her around the garden with shampoo and a watering can! #animaltales

I do. But I think he deserves it :) he can be hard work at time....silly dad.

I think you may be right! He isn't as fluffy as me. I'm sure she's guarding the house. ..you've got to be high up for that.

Yes. I'm single. Martyn wants me to be a bachelor like him but I'd like to meet someone. Ooo that's sounds like a good deal! I'll pack a bag

I know. I feel ashamed. Should talk about h more.

This is true. I was only telling him this the other day! He's lucky to have me really.
Oh no. Poor Stella, I bet she enjoys the chase though!

Well hello, Samson and I am so glad you managed to get a spell on the computer and introduce yourself. You are a bit of a cutie aren't you and how could Martyn not have included you in family statistics? Bad Martyn!! I do hope we'll be hearing more from you on #AnimalTales over the coming weeks and months.
