Review - International Elf Service - 24 Christmas Letters

There’s a magical place, we’re on our way there with toys in their millions and all under one roof.
Soon after bedtime when dark night time falls, helpers stock up all of the shelves, from ceiling to floor; books, board games and bikes, teddies, puppets and dolls, bats, spaceships and trikes!
It’s called……..
Now I am sure that some of you may have sung that. I am also sure that some may have even have ended “it’s called…” with a popular toy shop supplier. I on the other hand didn’t and I wanted to tell you why.

It was a cold September Morning, as Autumn it seems to be continually at the moment, I was rushing around and trying to decide if the heating needed to be turned on for a little bit. It’s a big decision, should I finally surrender and accept that it is time to put the heating on? This would accompany the mind-set for jumpers, thicker duvet and getting my comfy blankets out. Yet, there was something that kept catching my sight, just out the corner of my eye.
On the kitchen table was this box.

How strange, I thought. The first part that caught my eye was the Candy Striped string around the box. Who would send such a thing? And not properly wrapped either? More importantly, how did it end up on my table?
This small niggling feeling was at the back of my brain. This has happened before.
There was only one explanation….. It was from Elfie!

If you remember back in May Elfie sent James a lovely birthday letter, so I wonder what it could be this time? (I will admit that I went rather giddy with excitement!)
Inside this beautiful box was a lovely certificate congratulating the boys on being lucky enough to receive Letters running up to Christmas! How fabulous I thought! They will be excited!
So I can tell you now that the magical place where all the toys in their millions are; The North Pole, in Elfie's workshop! There are letters telling us so!
Now, Adults reading this you need to make sure that you only read the rest of this without little ears and eyes being around? All clear?
The International Elf Service provide children's letters in the run up to Christmas. The pack displayed here is 24 individual letters addressed and dated to your child/ren.
Each letter is a piece of Art work in itself with detailed and beautiful designs bordering each letter. This is accompanied with extra's that make the letter seem more realistic. The pages have a variety of smudges, ink spots, coloured tea or juice stains that give each letter an extra depth to experience such a magical moment with the added bonus of being signed by Elfie.
The Pack also contains 24 original and rustic envelopes that have your Child/ren name on the front with the International stamp to authenticate  and replicate a real letter.

To start the excitement and run up to Christmas each pack contains a certificate from the Postmaster General congratulating your child that they have been chosen to receive these letters.

This can also be accompanied or placed separately with a map of the village drawn by Elfie herself.

The box of letters are cleverly designed to look like any other parcel to help disguise the package from your children. The inner box theme accompanies the rustic approach that the envelopes have; even having a bed of Hay underneath. (Ideal to add to some of the letters or just to keep the letters and later reserve as a luxury present for when they are older)

The letters themselves follow a story to the lead up to Christmas with the Elves getting more excited and busy. Each letter tells the going on first hand of the highs and fun that is being had by all; including a special surprise from Mother Christmas!

From my point of view the overall design of the letters, graphics and added features that is put into every letter is outstanding and with an engaging narrative but to then have it then themed throughout 24 days gives the pack a level of authenticity for young minds; something that I would know some older children might question otherwise.

This seems like a clear alternative to a chocolate calendar (Or the have the calendar as an addition). Instead of counting days down and demolishing a chocolate we get to sit and join in with the magic that is being unfolded before our Child/ren's eyes. All we have to do is place the letter and envelope where we know our children will find them or even to turn that into an extra magical moment in itself.

It may be only October now and many people are still not ready to think of Christmas but for this to work these items must be ordered early and be in homes ready by November the 30th!

Christmas for me is always about Family but now the boys are older the magic is alive in them and with these I, and thanks to Elfie, get to add that little bit extra.

I love cute things like this but my eldest isn't into it and my youngest declared recently he no longer believes. How sad.
