"Living Arrows is about celebrating childhood. The project originally took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”
As a parent I often forget the adventures I went on as a child and it only seems to remind me when the boys do the same. We often get caught up in routine of home school and the adventure that brings that simple childhood pleasures go a miss
Admittedly I wasn't too pleased when I saw them jump into a puddle, especially as I told them not too but they didn't listen a few times actually! I instantly thought of wet clothing, soaked socks, sick children and James' asthma and totally forgot that I probably did exactly the same.
Once they were undressed, warmed up, fed, bathed and in pajamas the smile on their faces seemed to make it all disappear.
I must remember my childhood more.
