I decided that the year would be one that would see me skinny again. I looked on many diet plan sites but they all seemed so restrictive. So what could I do?
I created my own one. Since then I have lost weight and dropped clothes sizes....to the point that I am having trouble stabilising my weight so have to put some back on.
From 11st 3lbs I now weigh 7st 8lbs and from a 38 waist to a 28 waist!
So what did I do?
I kept to a calorie level.
For the first month I had the level of 1200 calories. (It's 1200 calories for a woman and 1500 calories for a man....but being short I stuck with 1200)
I ate what I like and just counted. Now I know this is tedious counting calories so I use an app...my fitness pal. Now again I'd suggest that you find one that suits you but for me I just added the little bits I was having and it calculated the amount so saved me from doing the math.
I cut out all sugar. Sorry. But everything was replaced with sweetners or not at all. I didn't balance percentage of fat (ultimately fat is good for us, like most things, in moderation) I also, apart from the odd cuppa through the day, I drunk lots of water.
After the first month (I had lost a stone by now) I lowered my calorie rate to a 1000. Your body adjusts to the calorie in take and subsequently your weight loss slows down. I dropped it to ultimately trick my body to carry on losing weight. By the second month I was drinking what I wanted (albeit not alcohol but I also know that if I did I could have counted the calories albeit and sacrificed them somewhere else.
Now by the third month (I had lost another stone) I lowered the calories to 800. Now this is low but it is actually surprisingly easy to eat and count those calories. Some days I have been none stop eating where I started to completely know what each food contained and was struggling to get to 800!!
This was my last month (I had lost 3 stone on 3 months!! Madness yeah?)
The problem I face is that I followed the routine so by then I was so use to it that subconsciously I was sticking to daily plans and lost more than I wanted. Since then I am just about stable with my weight.
I would like to add that I have no idea how healthy it was to do this in this way. I am not a doctor...All I did was look at the functioning algorithms of diet plans and how they work and used my own. Loss of calories x the momentum of weight loss x bodies metabolism rate = amount of calories over a set period of time.
I did combine this with exercise but being disabled I did very little!! But what I will say is this...go online and find statistics on exercise and calories burnt. So for example; running for 30 minutes = 200 calories you can subsequently use those calories earn to eat. I would do an hours pilates which earn 168 calories that was over half of a diet ready meal.
I know some may think that I barely ate. Surprisingly though I ate lots!! Everyone commented on how much I was eating. The real difference is what I was eating.
Here's some comparison pictures for you to see.
So what do you think? Fancy giving it try? Would love to see if you do as well on it as I did.
In the next couple of weeks i'll do a post on every day calorie burners.

Oh wow that's really impressive weight loss in three months, I'm really tempted to give this a go! Well done :)
Thanks! It was easier than I thought. The real trouble is stabilising it....but I'm working on that.
Give it a try I'd love to know if it would work for you too.
I've said it before but this weightloss is a remarkable achievement! I love Pilates I'd bet it burns more than 168 calories it's quite hard! Thanks for linking up :)
Thanks Amy! I have a pilates chair and it's my saving grace can do so many things with it. No problem will link up again soon.
