Trolley Bags - Review and Win!

I was having a conversation on Facebook the other day after a friend posted a video of these amazing Trolley bags. I watched and instantly thought "wow, these seem amazing!" I would love to invest in getting some. Luckily, and coincidently, the lovely people at Trolley Bags UK sent me an email asking if I would like to review them.

On initial inspection you can see that they are carefully constructed to roll up into an easy to carry set. The next part for us was to try them out!

William was just as excited as I was to try and use these; so much so he rushed off to grab a trolley!

Using the handle on the bag we clipped it easily onto the back of the trolley on the hook and off we went shopping.

Once your trolley is full, your shopping done and you reach the checkout you get to see how clever the design of this product.

At the top of the bags, as seen in the above picture, you have poles running through; this allows each bag to rest upon the sides of the trolley. Removing the Velcro flap the bags are then opened and pulled along to fit the full length of the trolley in one quick and easy movement.

Then the next part is to fill up your bags with the shopping..

It is suggested that you pack the heavier items in the smaller bags and the bulkier items in the bigger bags. This is something that I would strongly suggest, which I will explain further in a minute.

Once you get to the car you can separate each bag from the others by undoing the Velcro attachments and lift them in. This is where I found the weight distribution a handy tip to follow. I personally would have found it difficult lifting the heavier items out if they were in the larger bag; this continues to show the detailed thought process into the design.

Once you are home and the shopping is put away you can simply reattach each bag in order and role them back up.

The Design

Realistically the design is incredibly simple but that is why I love it so much. They are sturdy fabric bags that have the addition of poles to rack along the trolley; this is in addition to the alternating Velcro patches at the top that combine the set together and make attaching and separating so easy!

Having the different size bags stops the disproportionate balance that you can often find when packing bags; even if you are using larger fabric bags already!

You can also find that the bags come in two sizes; Original for larger trollies or Express for the smaller ones.

Eco Friendly

We, as a household, are keen on recycling, reusing and upcycling as much as possible so I am always pleased to try and find products that are environmentally friendly. These bags hit that brief perfectly!

To start, these will cut down on the amount of plastic bags that are being used and purchased which will impact the statistics of the 8.3 Billion thin bags that are in use by customers from supermarkets in a study done last year.

With this each Trolley Bag is also made from recycled, non-woven, material.

As a Stay at Home Dad shopping is a regular activity for me so it is great to find a product that helps supports the experience. The quick and easy method of the bags also cut down on the amount of time it takes to bag up your trolley contents; something that I thoroughly enjoyed because it meant that the boys were not waiting too long and becoming distracted. So, if you're a Dad reading this don't dismiss them straight away; they're not just for Mums!

I personally will be using these bags in every trip that I take!
