#40DayBloggingChallenge - Week 2

So it has come to that time of the week when I catch up on my second week of my Lent challenge of giving back to bloggers and sharing some love.

In many ways this is perfect for me as I have been having a rough few days so to give back a bit of kindness each day is lovely.

Day 5

@OurRachBlogs

We started this week off with a bang by featuring Rach from OurRachBlogs. I am a big fan of Rachel both on Twitter and as a blogger. Rachel writes about lots of different topics and I wouldn't say that she "fits" into a specific category but that is why I love her! Mum and social commentator which means you will always find her tweeting and writing as it is! Some may see her honesty as blunt but more often than not she is hilarious; something that reflects through her blog!

My featured post from her is Crime Pays an insight into the concept of reality TV and how criminality can be seen as something of a success if they are asked to take part.

Day 6

@Passtheprosecco

As always I try to feature a fairly local blogger and PTP fits that category this week! A Kent based mum, wife, employee, blogger and fellow spoonie. Suffering and battling with health issues as well as trying to juggle life is a massive battle and with that to find time to write is an amazing thing and it is for that reason why I think she is deserving of being featured this week!

The featured post from PassTheProsecco is Current mood, shit. Its a post I relate massively too! Especially at the moment. Do you have days, weeks, months when everything is a bit shit?

Day7

@NigeHiggins4

My week would not be complete without my featured dad and that had to be Nigel from DIY Daddy Blog.

Nigel is a standout dad to 5 kids! 3 older children the two young twin girls. And if that isn't amazing enough he's a gentleman on and offline! I have had the opportunity to meet him and he is as friendly as you would expect and takes that little extra effort that I know makes me proud to call him a friend.
The mixed ages of his children gives a unique insight to parenting and you are often faced with fantastic heart felt posts as well as and informative from his experience!

My featured post from Nigel is this great post on the relationship between his children: Half Brothers and Sisters.

Day8

@Lentlesslypurpl

Well I always find a way to feature a blogger who is a pain in my neck and this week it is Ember from Relentlessly Purple.

Mum to 2 girls, friend, another fellow Spoonie, blogger and, as mentioned above, one of the many thorns in my side! She writes about all of the above and does so and still find time to pester me! In truth, and like many of my pests, she is a great friend, writer, obviously loves purple and perfect for this challenge because I am sure many people still are unaware of how great she is!

The featured post from Ember is a recent one....and once again it is one I can totally relate to! I crashed!

Day 9

@mummygadgetgeek

Mummy Gadget Geek aka Spoon Paws aka Lauren. How many does she want? Anyway, Spoon paws is a new blogging friend for me. She is a gaming, tech and gadgets fan alongside being mum to kids (7, 5 and 2). As well as this she has #EDS #Hypothyroidism. Her bio is often random which matches her personality she currently has an Otter obsession, randomly mentions of zombies and cake. Keen on knee socks.

We have been chatting more and more and admittedly she is great fun through her silliness and our random conversations because there is literally no rhyme or reason to them despite making sense at the time. If you are looking for someone fun to chat to then she is your gal!

The features post from Lauren shows this and is a more fun post out of my selection this week. The Zombie Apocalypse: The frivolous things I would miss.

Day 10

@genuineplacebo

I've been a fan of genuineplacebo aka Donna aka What the Redhead Said blog for a long time now. Donna is a  Mum, wife and now pro blogger after making the brave leap to leave work and take it on fully. I have to admit that I was always a but star struck in my fandom and was terrified to chat to her but actually she is one of the loveliest people. Since then I know I am lucky to call her a friend! Even if the majority of the time I send her random facts or interesting points when I am stressed or upset to distract me.

The featured post from Donna is one that plays on her strengths as a blogging friend and a topic that I know is important: Just Keep Writing: why nothing else matters

So that is this week all done and dusted. What do you think of my choices?

If you aren't sure of any of them then definitely go and check them out and the posted listed as they are great!

Have a good week!
