"Living Arrows is about celebrating childhood. The project originally took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”
This week has been a very normal week for the boys and a less than normal one for me. However, the boys have continued with their learning which has been great all round!
I've loved these two moments in HomeEd. Investigating our plant growth and seeing who had the tallest runner beans really captured the interest of James.
Then there were lots of fun and giggles when we have been investigating our senses around fruit and vegetables.....although they weren't best pleased when they had the lemon!

Giving them a lemon was a bit mean! Haha. It's so great that you're all having such a great time together in Home Ed, education should be fun :)
My little one loves lemon - although probably not so much if she was blindfolded. Looks like you had great fun!
Ooh lemon blindfolded would have been a bit of a surprise for them hehe! It looks like a great educational and fun experience for them :) x
I keep meaning to do a taste test like this with Bear but he's such a fuss pot at the moment, he's probably get upset unless it were chocolate! Hope you're ok? #livingarrows
You gave them lemon, brilliant! Sounds like a great week, I loved growing runner beans as a child, I think thats why I'm a bit addicted to eating them now! #LivingArrows
Brilliant, I will always remember when my eldest had lemon, she asked for it and after explaining what might happen she decided to have it anyway and it was one of the funniest things!
Funnily enough BattleKid loves lemon. I have no idea why or how as neither hubby nor I can simply bite into a slice of it! I'd have expected him to have the same reactions as your boys. #livingarrows
Haha there's nothing better than feeding lemon to children! Glad they've had a good week even though you've been a miserable git. We're growing broad beans too, still trying to decide where to put them though!
Nat.x
Gave my god daughter some lemon for the first time. She is so innocent and the shock at the taste, and the pure hatred towards me..the fact I was laughing hysterically and offering her more didn't help. She loves me being her god parent, I think..
I really admire your HomeEd life. You get to do such fun things with the children whilst teaching them skills that will last them a lifetime. Lovely photos this week x
Love this! I wonder what foods I could get my two to try if they couldn't see what they were tasting! x #LivingArrows
Ooh what lucky boys having such fab learning experiences! Not sure I would have enjoyed the lemon either haha xx
Haha I loved feeding ours lemon - it looks like a great HomeEd activity #livingarrows
Wow this looks like lots of fun! They are so lucky to have such fab learning experiences :) #livingarrows
Your boys always look like they are really enjoying their learning - the idea of home education really appeals to me but I don't know if I could actually do it in reality! #LivingArrows
Ah I love seeing your home ed projects and topics! Also, I love lemons, am I weird?!x #LivingArrows
