My Sunday Photo 25/06/17

We visited a local Armed Forces Day event and among lots of amazing vehicles, both new and old, was this little war time Ambulance.

What really hit me was the fact that no one was near it. Crowds were forming for the the tanks and armoured vehicles to enjoy the fun and power and this had nothing. It just occurred to me that it is, even amongst the horrid events this year, easy to forget the men and women who are there risking their lives helping the injured.

What a fascinating vehicle. Were you able to have a look inside too?

How odd that no one was around it? I would have been all over it. You're quite right, army medics do deserve special recognition. Thought provoking image Martyn.

I hand it to all those people, they all deserve medals in my opinion

... Where are its guns? Just kidding, it's an amazing vehicle. Full of admiration for people who do whatever it takes to help others.

That's so true. My great grandfather was a stretcher bearer in the first world war, I can't imagine the bravery that that entailed #MySundayPhoto

Oh wow! I love that, I would definitely have taken a look at this. It's a shame people didn't take more notice. #mysundayphoto

This looks fascinating, it sounds like a great day out. I'd have enjoyed seeing the ambulance too, never seen anything like it.

I'd have loved to see inside this, its amazing how much has changed over the years. I expect it would look quite primitive inside compared to the ambulances we see now. Such a shame it didn't have so much interest.

I'd have loved to have a peek inside that, it looks like it would still be fine today!
