Well it would have been but I am a few days late and poor Laura has been swamped and hasn't had any time! So you will just have to put up with me!

Well it would have been here last month but Laura was literally halfway through moving across to another country and I was away for the 5 days and barely had time to do anything! But we are back now!

Well it would have been open yesterday but both Laura and I are a day late with it! It has been a busy weekend for me trying to fit everything in being a Bank holiday and Laura has just become an ex expat so has been moving around!

This month Laura is posting a cheeky request for nominations now the award season has opened. I know I voted for her so it is definitely worth doing so if you haven't already! The biggest question is why didn't I consider using my post!

My post this month is about Instagram. If you are looking to actively grow your account then it is worth knowing the limits that Instagram put on; you definitely don't want to be caught out and blocked!

Home School - WALT and WILF

I obviously love the fact that I home educate the boys; it creates the perfect mix between being a parent and a teacher for me

As a teacher, as well as a head of KS1 and a variety of subjects, I enjoyed the challenge of creating lessons that were engaging to my pupils but were also within the guidelines of the curriculum and the objectives set for the class.

The majority of the time I could work towards this and create some fantastic lessons.

Why I'm Starting a Blog

Originally written in September 2010 as "Starting Off" — updated with reflections, clarity, readability, updated links, and new context in 2026.

My friend Kelly had suggested that I should start a blog more than once. Then, during a conversation at church one Sunday morning, somebody else suggested exactly the same thing.
