Review - Heston Blumenthal Kitchen Equipment

I was very lucky to have received these cooking items from a range produced by Heston Blumenthal.

As you all know from my feature posts "My Little Chef" that my eldest boy William loves cooking and baking; even more so than his daddy does!

So imagine how pleased we were to be asked to review these items:

William loves every aspect of cooking from finding textures and flavours that work well together to the mechanics behind building ingredients in proportion. However, one of the biggest challenges that he faces is the precise measurement.

We have a very old fashioned analogue styled scales; when William decides to measure out 220g of flour, for example, he becomes incredibly frustrated as he tries to work out the exact amount 'between' the positions. So all of this in mind you can see how pleased he was that we now have these precision digital scales:

This scale offers not only a precise measuring amount through it's digital display but also the added benefit of using your own bowl and setting the calculation to zero. Once used the stainless steal top is easy to clean therefore providing a more hygienic surface.

The 'balloon' shaped whisk firstly confused me with it being larger than most whisks that I have come across before. However, the larger frame offered more air to pass through the pins making the movement easier. This whisk also offered a non-slip handle that, from our point of view, made using it easier for William to hold and use.

These two silicone spatulas are great to use; each spatula is very light to hold offering two separate shapes on either end for duel usage. The part that we really enjoyed was that they were heat proof! we have within the last month actual slightly melted the end of a couple of our spatulas; we, therefore, were exceedingly pleased to have some replaced and ones that guarantee heat resistance up to 250'c

Hestons' range of kitchen equipment has definitely increased our use of cooking and baking especially for William! So expect more delicious recipes like the ones he has previously done.

(I was given this product for free to review. My opinions are my own and I am under no obligations to give a positive review. Please see my full disclosure at the bottom of my blog)
