National Puzzle Day - Jumbo Games - Review and Win!

Today is National Puzzle Day and this is something that we are quite excited about!

In my household we are very low on electronic entertainment. It isn't because I am anti-technology, far from it but because I don't want to have just those resources available for the Boys.

Where we have Home Education we often have our days packed with lots of exciting things that do not revolve around electronic entertainment and games.

Despite this we still use computers, television and games to enhance our learning rather than it being a centralised feature.

Puzzles play a massive part of our free learning and games here.

Puzzles are an important educational learning tool for toddlers and young children as they provide many skills and mental learning benefits and opportunities. It increases their visual spacial awareness and develops a deeper understanding of these themes and topics.  All children learn differently and puzzles may be their medium for grasping an understanding of certain themes.

We were thrilled then to be contacted by Jumbo Games to take part in #NationalPuzzleDay

Jumbo Games believe in the game as a source of pleasure, creativity, development and social interaction. They are convinced that the possibilities to play are endless and that there will always be a need for playing together; physically, virtually and integrated. Something that I am in agreement with!

We were sent 4 Puzzles to complete. 2 for Adults and 2 for Children.

The ones sent to the Boys were exactly what they wanted; we are a massive geeky and comic book household so receiving puzzles from the D.C franchise meant that we were keen to do them as soon as possible!

The first puzzle was a 4 in 1 pack that offered a progressive level for all ages. Starting with a smaller 35 piece and continuing to a 100 piece; perfect to build a foundation of logical thinking!

The second puzzle was a 100 piece and both the Boys and myself were keen to start on this one!

As we are keen puzzlers it didn't take us too long to complete but at the same time filled an hours space of family time and working together.

I was sent a 1000 piece Car Puzzle that I am keen to start.

However, not as keen as I was to start this:

The Mystery Puzzle is exactly that! Instead of working on the puzzle from the picture on the box you are left to use logic, imagination and a skilled patience to complete the puzzle. In the use of the words on the box "Only the Puzzle has the answer".

I am curious for this as I do love a challenge and have always prided myself with my logic and working on a mystery! It is also for that reason that I haven't shown you any of the photos of me working on it; I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise for you either!

I now have a great opportunity for you.

Starting Today and lasting until Friday 5th February I am running a Giveaway. One for the above Mystery Puzzle and the other for the Children Batman 4 in 1 Standard suitcase Puzzles.

So please follow the instructions on the rafflecopter below to enter! You can find my usual competition terms and conditions by clicking the blue writing here: Competition Terms and Conditions

Good Luck and Happy Puzzle making!

I've entered both! My children are avid 'puzzle solvers'; I think they must have about 25 boxes! We two love Batman but then I am also intrigued about the other one!
