Week 6 #40DayBloggingChallenge

We are now half way through my Lent Challenge and so far it is going really well.

I am finding that each week is getting easier whilst I work through a particular theme. This weeks theme was highlighting the bloggers admittedly I neglect. These bloggers are fantastic, they are people that I admire, chat to on social media regularly but don't spend enough time reading their blogs!

I know it is highly outrageous and makes me a pretty rubbish blogger but I just don't find enough time to regularly read their blogs and even when I do find time to catch up, usually first thing in the morning, I eventually forget to comment when I am free in the evening.

This then is not only an apology to these bloggers but a well deserved mention.

Day 29

Starting off this week features Fee from Not just another Mum. A Mum of two children, a teenage girl and a younger boy. Fee admittedly states that she is no parenting expert and wont bombard you with expert advice; instead you will find her writing about parenting and the highs and lows that comes with it. The variety of topics within parenting is highlighted on her blog from everyday life to deeper questions.

The featured post from Not just another Mum discusses the fact that her and her partner are living in "sin" and if marriage is all that it is cracked up to be in this modern age:What a disgrace, we're living in sin!

Day 30

On this day I featured Suz from Beau is Blue. I have followed Suz for a very long time and there is so much that I love about her blog. She is a Mum of a boy with another on the way and due is May. You will find that she writes about fashions, DIY, tips and advice and pregnancy. I am pretty useless at fashion but I always try to sneak on to find out what Friday Fashion is happening; although I haven't seen it for a while so I hope she brings it back!

The featured post on Beau is Blue is 10 things she has learnt becoming a Mum. It is one of those posts that you enjoy and can relate to as a parent!

Day 31

I decided to feature Chantal from Milk and Nappies on this day. Chantal is a Mum of 1 and writes about her journey through parenting. She has a posts from birth story to different tips and advice for parents. She also has a series of 5 things which I love as they are always so helpful, candid and insightful. She is also a blogger that I have been lucky enough to meet and am pleased that I have, she is one of the loveliest people!

The featured post had to come from the 5 Things series: 5 things I love about blogging. It is a post that I can strongly resonate with.

Day 32

Today I featured Gem from G, M and them. Gem is one of those lovely bloggers that I interact with a lot on Twitter and what a pleasure it is to do so! She is a Mum of two and writes about parenting and all that goes with it. She has blogged in different forms along the way but after losing them she decided she needed a way to document all the different points.

The featured post shows off her writing well by discussing the lows of parenting: when your child throws you a curve ball. It is a post that highlights for me the continual growth of parenting; you always seems to think you've mastered it until your child changes the plan!

Day 33

Today I featured Jade from Raising the Rings. Her blog is a prime example of those that I read regularly but never comment on; clearly this is just highlighting my poor blogging skills! Jade is a Mum of 2 and started writing her blog after her eldest son was born. What I love most about her blog is how relatable I find it. Despite the age difference between her boys and mine she discusses situations that I have either been in or am going through. (A great example of this is her post on siblings) I was also lucky enough to meet her at the same time I met Chantal, again, she is just as lovely in person; always a worry when you've been wanting to meet a blogger for a long time!

The featured post is, again, something that I can relate to. Before Christmas I wrote a post about the nastier side of the blogging community where I had experienced petty and silly actions from grown adults who, in my opinion, should have known better. Jade has experienced the same and highlights the backstabbing that can happen.

Day 34

The final day of the week and I haven't featured my token dad blogger and there only seems one that really classes in this weeks theme, Mike from Sunshine Dad. Mike was one of the first dad bloggers that I met and read within the community. He is witty and can be quite straightforward and honest in his posts; he is often caught sharing thoughts where others don't! Admittedly Mike falls into the category where I just haven't had time to read his blog as much as I like, which is a shame as it is always brilliant! He is a fellow sahd and remarkably takes on this role with 5 children! Madness I know! His youngest is now only just a couple of months old now so I am sure that in addition of his general dad talk you will find a higher number of baby posts!

The featured post from Mike is his observations 4 weeks in with 5 kids. I can relate to a few of these because I experienced them with my 2 but it was also insightful seeing it from a dads view with 5 children!

So that is it this week and as you can see there is only 6 more days left of the challenge. If you are interested in finding out which blogger I have featured previously please click on the weeks below. Until next time!

Thanks for the kind words buddy. There just isn't enough time to read all the blogs I wish I could. Hardly enough time to write your own posts! Ha. Hope you have a great week.
